Having returned on a US military helicopter to Lebanon, Maronite Patriarch, Sfayr, assembled the Maronite bishops. They issued a statement in which it said that the capture of the two soldiers does not justify the destruction in Lebanon. But it was noteworthy that the word Israel appeared not once in the statement.
