Juan Cole is urging his readers to sign a petition to "Oppose All Motions to Boycott Israel Scholars". I most strongly disagree. I urge all my readers to support the boycott of Israeli institutions and academics, just as liberals in the US called for the boycott of Apartheid South Africa.
