Abu Mazen never had an popular base of support (outside of Sharon's farm that is), and yet lately has been buying, literally buying, the Kata'ib Shuhada' Al-Aqsa as his private militia. There is no question that the sparks of civil war in Palestinian society are part of a US/Israel/Dahlan-Abu Mazen plan to seize power by force, having lost resoundingly in the last Palestinian election. But this again proves my theory: civil war looms over any place where Bush's Doctrine rears its ugly head.
