Back to our regular feature: the LBC-TV's From Lebanon segment about "rich and famous" Lebanese. Yesterday, the silly network featured a Jimmy Jbara, who according to the network is a household name here in the US. Yes, Jimmy Jbara, the very same Jimmy Jbara that all of us have heard of. The network bragged that he was a great bomber in the Korean war, and that--how typical--he was rated as the "best pilot" in the Korean War. It also said that Jimmy--ya, the famous Jimmy--was the subject of a special serial publication. Oh, ya. The Jimmy Jbara serial? Who have not heard of Jimmy Jbara? I remember that it was 2 days after I arrived in the US, when people--strangers, really--would ask me about whether I am related to the famous Jimmy Jbara. Jimmy Jbara: where are you when the homeland needs you? LBC loves your bombing skills.
