Amy Goodman on AlJazeera: The Mighty Amy Goodman was on Aljazeera's widely-watched Al-Ittijah Al-Mu`akis. As usual, she was great. She was pitted against Muwaffaq Harb, the political director of Al-Hurra, the official US propaganda TV (or and for Walid Jumblat these days). Goodman was forceful and tough, as she always is, but the simultaneous translation into Arabic put her at a disadvantage with Harb, who spoke in Arabic. But she managed to make all the important points, clearly and forcefully. Harb, has refused to appear with me on Arabic TV shows ever since I debated him on AlJazeera. Several stations tried.
