Al-Arabiya anchor, Muhannad Al-Khatib, has resigned from his job. According to his account, and to the account in As-Safir, he resisted pressures from Al-Arabiyya manager, `Abdur-Rahman Ar-Rashid, who wanted to use him in Al-Arabiyya service to the Saudi side of the Saudi-Qatari feud. Al-Khatib was pressured to devote a program to bash Muhammad Hasanayn Haykal (who has an exclusive deal with Al-Jazeera), and to devote another program to US military bases in Qatar.
