There is no accountability in the press. You will find that WP and NYT will print silly corrections, about the wrong date or the wrong pictures. But they will rarely apologize to their readers for their erroneous and fallacious coverage of world affairs. How will Hassan Fattah of the New York Times or David Ignatius of the Washington Post, who wrote unendingly about the "Cedars' Revolution" and informed their readers about the unity of the Lebanese people after the assassination of Rafiq Hariri, explain this to their readers: "But in the streets, fistfights broke out between Christian and Muslim Lebanese after protesters threw rocks at a Maronite Catholic Church, broke windows at the Lebanese Red Cross office and shattered windshields of cars. Bands of Christian youths congregated with sticks and iron bars, promising to defend their neighborhoods."
