The Syrian government has released some political prisoners, but did not release `Arif Dalilah. Dalilah is a victim of the wrath of the ruling family; he dared badmouth Bushrah Al-Asad (Bashshar's sister and a center of power in her own right inside the regime) in his prison cell in the presence of a government informant who posed as a fellow prisoner.
