Most of the Syrian serials that are shown on Lebanese TV stations (like LBC-TV and Hariri Al-Mustaqbal TV) are produced by Sham Production, owned by Basim Khaddam (son of `Abdul-Halim Khaddam). The status of Sham productions remains uncertain; a freeze on all productions have been announced; and the director, Ayman Zaydan, flew from Cairo to Damascus. Syrian TV serials are the best: actors are natural and they deal with real issues, and characters are funny. Very much the opposite of Lebanese produced TV serials.
