Haytham Manna`. One of the most courageous dissidents in the Arab world. He is a Syrian opposition figure, widely respected for his human rights advocacy around the world. Today, he spoke against Khaddam's attempt to infiltrate the ranks of the Syrian opposition, and reminded people of the long abysmal record of this pillar of the Hafidh Al-Asad's regime. Other Syrian dissidents, Yasin Hajj Salih, Michel Kilo, and `Umar Amiralay have also rejected any role for Khaddam in the Syrian opposition. Manna` also blasted the recent statements of Walid Jumblat, and said that we will not allow such a man to try to rule Syria from Lebanon. Manna` represents those Arab dissidents who work against Arab governments AND against foreign military intervention.
