Two days after the elections in Iraq, the Iraqi prime minister announced an increase in the price of gasoline. Also, I read somewhere that the ballot boxes that the Iraqi government (or the US) bought from Iraq cost the Iraqi people more than $90. Somebody must have gotten rich from that deal. If that money was used to buy wheat for the Iraqi people it would have been better spent.
