This is a sign from today's demonstration in Beirut. It reads: "The rooster of An-Nahar is stronger than the dogs of the Ba`th." Yes, this is the same movement that calls itself, day and night, "the civilized movement." Oh, ya. There were many other signs that mocked the Syrian dialect. I don't understand that part. I personally prefer the Syrian dialect to the Lebanese dialect, especially that of the Beirut region. But that is a personal preference. But then again. I prefer the sweets of Tripoli to Damascene sweets. Damascene sweets are small and cute, but they are not as intensely sweet as the sweets of Tripoli. (thanks Ahmad)
