There is an old woman in Berkeley who bakes bread and cake and she distributes them to homeless people. Today, I just watched her do that. You had to see how happy and unassuming she was. I watched her from a distance, and then (discreetly I hope) followed her. One homeless person, politely declined her offer. She insisted; she pleaded, and told him that this was all home-made. That changed his mind. He took it and thanked her. And she has all of them carefully wrapped.
