Apparently, following the assassination of Jubran Tuwayni, there were many attacks on Syrian workers in Lebanon that went unreported in the press. There were no reports and no government investigations. But Jubmlat's party described those attacks (in the `Alayy region) as "inappropriate." But Al-Mustaqbal newspaper, while commenting on the statement by Jumblat's party, added: "it is to be noted that the chasing [of the Syrian workers] did not result in injuries but was confined to chasing the workers and attacking them."
