I could not help but think: France and Israel. A democracy (as flawed as it is and as blameworthy as successive French governments are in the disregard of the suburbs and beyond), versus fake democracy. I have to say this about France: I mean, if those riots were occurring in occupied Palestine, hundreds of demonstrators would have already been shot dead. Do you have doubts about that?
