When I was in Washington, DC, I was so impressed with the local police sketch artists. But the Lebanese police, has the most ludicrous sketch artists. Unbelievable. Look at this latest one above. All young men in Lebanon look like him, with or without a moustache. 3 months ago, and based on another lousy sketch by Lebanese police, an innocent Lebanese communist with a history of resisting Israeli occupation in Lebanon, was arrested because "he looked like the police sketch." His family had to tell the police that all men in Lebanon looked like that sketch.
While I am not in favor of the Lebanese government request for "security assistance" from "friendly countries" (read US) because the assistance is as "innocent" as past Syrian security assistance, I do support an official Lebanese request for a real artist from anywhere in the world to perform better sketching for Lebanese police.
