This may indeed be the first Arabic gay/lesbian/bisexual publication. Not impressive at all. It contains the typical Arab liberal upper class mimicry of Western liberal models and paradigms, and only confirms the criticisms that are contained in the article by my dear friend Joseph Massad in his article "Re-Orienting Desire: The Gay International and the Arab World" published in Public Culture (2002) although Joseph fiercely attacks my article on the Study of Homosexuality in the Arab/Islamic Civilization (published in Arab Studies Journal in 1993). It even has a glossary of English "terms" about homosexuality, and possible Arabic translations. I wish I have time to say more (by way of criticisms).
