One of the best Arab reporters, Duha Shams of As-Safir, wrote a piece called `Ali Baba of New Orleans, in which she compares the Western news unending coverage of looting in Iraq after Bush's "liberation" of the country compared to the more restrained US media coverage of the looting in New Orleans. She laments that the coverage of Iraq lootings was much more judgmental than today's coverage of New Orleans.
