Just as there is a special "experts'" committee in Iran which screens candidates for public office and decides who can and who can't run, there is a similar committee in Afghanistan (run by US occupation--oh, I forgot that you forgot that you are occupying Afghanistan, my fault). Of course, Afghanistan today is more unfree than Iran.
