It is a sad day when Anderson Cooper is considered the "anchorperson of the future." The article does not tell you that his mommy, the socialite Gloria Vanderbilt, got him every job that he has ever held. Two years ago when I was about to be interviewed by him on CNN from my house (see text somewhere on this site), the CNN crew and I were mocking him when we noticed that they could hear us at CNN headquarters. If Anderson Cooper was a woman anchor, he would have become a national joke.
