Hannah and Her (Lebanese) Sisters: Lebanonese Ultra-nationalists are at it again: As I reported previously, sectarian Christian right-wing Lebanese militia TV, LBC-TV, airs a short profile of "a famous Lebanese"--and all Lebanese are famous according to claimants of Lebanonese nationalism--prior to its evening newscast. Previously, they claimed that Frank Zappa was Lebanese. Today, they claimed that Jack Hanna (from Knoxville, Tennessee) of the Columbus Zoo is also a Lebanese. They probably think that every "Hanna" is like the Arabic Hanna. Tomorrow, LBC-TV will profile another Lebanese, Hannah Arendt. On Thursday, LBC-TV will feature Hannah AND her sisters (all of whom are also Lebanese).
