Former Iraqi puppet prime minister/former Saddam's henchman/car bomber/embezzler-in-Yemen, Iyad `Allawi was interviewed in Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat. This man resents not being able to get public attention after US covert intervention and illegal millions could not bring him victory in the Iraqi election. I notice that he now dares to criticize the Iraqi government, and even the US, hoping that maybe he would get some public support. He also does this regularly: he can't be interviewed without claiming that he survived assassination attempts. In this interview, he claimed that he survived 3 (not two) assassination attempts. Last year when he was in Lebanon, he claimed that he survived an assassination attempt in Beirut. Security people and political leaders in Lebanon all said that they had no idea what he was talking about. He claimed that the Amal movement saved his life, but Amal leaders said that they had no idea what he was talking about. I think if you look at `Allaw he may consider that an assassination attempt, so just look away.
