Shame on Arab media: Another aspect of Golobalization is how the messages and terms of references are transmitted through the global media, and in different languages. And the US (and western) media set the tone, and set the priorities. You see that every day. The coverage of the Arab media, including Al-Jazeera, of the Gaza withdrawal follows the US media in this: so much attention to and coverage of "the anguish" and "suffering" of the colonial settlers, instead of covering the suffering of the Palestinian victims under occupation, an occupation that has not ended, not even in Gaza. If it is up to me, I would not cover one Israeli colonial settler, except to count the number of acres of Palestinian lands they have stolen, cubic meters of water they have confiscated, olive trees they have taken by force, and Palestinian lives they have taken.
