Lebanonese nationalists (especially the silly An-Nahar newspaper) can be so pathetic. They often take pride in people around the world for an alleged Lebanonese ancestry even when those people in question make no reference to this alleged Lebanonese ancestry. The new Republican senatorial candidate in New York is the most recent example. The Lebanonese press is so proud of her alleged Lebanonese background, although she never ever makes a reference to it. So even those who hide or are embarrassed by their Lebanonese background, are bragged about in An-Nahar newspaper. In other news, An-Nahar is claiming today that Mr./Ms. Potato head is of Lebanonese descent.
