US Lags in Gender Equality: "Many U.S. women assume they're better off than their peers in other parts of the world. But when it comes to gender equality, U.S. women are not even in the top tier. In a world ranking on gender equality, the U.S. came in 17th -- behind Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Ireland, among others, according to a report from the World Economic Forum, a Geneva-based not-for-profit think tank."
