The emerging Sunni fanatical party, Hizb At-Tahrir in Lebanon recently sent a clarification to As-Safir about its views on democracy. It said (in part) that: "Democracy is an infidel regime, and its adoption or application or advocation is banned..." This party is starting to make noises in Lebanon. Their solution to Middle East problems is...the restoration of the caliphate. Spare me.
