The Puppets of US Occupation. So the feud between the two pro-US occupation puppets, Ahmad Chalabi and puppet defense minister, Hazim Ash-Sha`lan, continues. There is an article about the corruption of Sha`lan in today's New York Times. The gang of Chalabi has allegedly unearthed documents that show that Sha`lan was a paid informer for Saddam's intelligence apparatus. The documents are here. Iraqi Ayatollah Al-Mudarrisi's people claim here that between 1986 and 1990 (before Sha`lan left Iraq for Morocco and where he continued his work for the Iraqi intelligence service) his work for Saddam resulted in the execution of hundreds of Iraqi dissidents. They allege that he personally tortured at least one Iraqi man. Yesterday, Sha`lan announced in an interview with Al-Jazeera that he plans to arrest Chalabi after the holiday of Al-Adha because he "distorted the image of the Ministry of Defense." That language proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is a loyal Saddamist. This is the new Iraq, readers.
