I am asked to explain my comment about Marwan Barghuti (not to be confused with Mustafa Barghuti). I am not the only one who has expressed suspicions about Barghuti's role. He learned politics at the feet of the master unprincipled leader, `Arafat, who can no more send millions to the account of Suha `Arafat in Paris. Barghuti, like `Arafat, stood for the thing, and its opposite, simultaneously. He was against corruption in the PA, but was part of the `Arafat power structure. He was against the Israeli violations of Palestinian territories, but was a key participant in the Oslo process. He is critical of the Israeli government, but established strong and close ties with key leaders of the Likud party. He is running for election; no he is not. He supports Abu Mazin, but not really, etc. All those who were part of the Oslo process should be discredited in my opinion.
