Did you happen to read the text of Bush's press conference with Tony Blair yesterday? Read it. I read the text and watched parts of it. Unbelievable. Politics aside, what a difference between the performance of the British prime minister and the man supported by at least 59 million Americans. How incompetent and ignorant he was. They ask him about setlements, and he answers this way: "Freedom, potatoes, freedom, potatoes, democracy, potatoes, etc." I have never encountered a mind as jumbled, lazy, maddeveloped, limited, closed, feeble, and slow as that of George W. Bush. And that is not only in comparison to people on earth, but also to cartoon characters. And what is his thing that Palestinians have to establish a democracy before they can have statehood. What condition is that, and by what right he issues it? No people under occupation were told that freedom can only come after the establishment of a democracy. Palestinian deserve full statehood EVEN if they wish to establish a dictatorship. Yes, Bush now sits at the head of an Empire: but the Palestinian march for independence and full return of refugees will continue, and will succeed, no matter what this or that president says. Of that I am certain. Palestinians have not been vanquished in one hundred years, and they will not be vanquishedi in another hundred years.
