I saw part of an interview with civic leader Mustafa Barghuti from Palestine on Al-Mustaqbal TV. I have admired this person who has been very courageous in opposing Israeli occupation and crimes, and `Arafat's corrupt "leadership." He spoke about the suffering of the Palestinians, but also reminded us that there is another side to Palestinian life: the side that entails determination, firmness, sacrifice, and courage. I will post two pictures today in that regard. He spoke about the hundreds of roadbloacks around the West Bank, and about the 45 women who went through labor while waiting at checkpoints, and many died. The trip (by car) between Ramallah and Hebron used to take 45 minutes, and now takes 9 hours, and you need to change your car 11 times.
