"Police in Darwin, Australia yesterday said that two women who were tied up and tossed into a crocodile-infested river were Thai prostitutes... The Adelaide River is famous for its aggressive crocodiles, some of which are more than 6m long, which leap out of the water to grab meat dangled off the sides of tourist boats. The incident came amid government investigations into claims that Thai women were being brought to Australia to work in a well-established sex-slave network."
