Algerian media and the Syrian conflict

Tereza from the Czech republic sent me this (I cite with her permission): " I´m a journalist from Czech Republic and a regular reader of Your blog.  I just want to say that couple of weeks ago I´ve met an Algerian writer Mohammed Moulessehoul (he is writing under the name of Yasmina Khadra) and asked him the same question regarding the Algerian stance to Syria. He told me: "We are pro-Syrian because we don´t know, what´s  going on in Syria, but we know that we cannot trust the western media. We know how they manipulated the truth about Algeria. The war against terrorists pushed us for ten years into hell, terrorists were spraying death all over, but western media were saying, that there are no terrosists in Algeria, it´ s just government army killing civilians...".  Yes, I know that Mr. Moulessehoul is former high ranking army officer, so he is not neutral for sure, but maybe You will find his opinion interesting."
