A PA Minister: who hearts Qatar

Comrade Joseph sent me this (I cite with his permission): "Bassem khoury the PA minister who resigned referred to the report this morning on Al-Jazeera as teh "Goldstein report"! He also spent some time defending the owning of the telephone company saying that 51% is owned by Qataris, and they are honorable and they would not have compromised on the report for a contract...He proceeded to say that he personally checked the procedures in Geneva and found out that Qatar or any other state could reintroduce the discussion of the Goldtein report next week and that only 18 votes are needed, and that there was already 5 Arab countries and 7 "Islamic" countries and they could easily get 6 more votes. He then proceeded to assail Al-Jazeera saying let Qatar (hamiyyat al-'Urubah") should reintroduce the report for discussion and that Al-JAzeera should go around the world mobilizing for it rather than continue to blame the PA who surely committed a mistake as a result of the pressure on it. But Qatar onthe other hand could resist that pressure."
