Gender segregation and the West

You know what is ironic? Western governments used to complain against any manifestations of gender segregations among Muslims.  Now, Western governments encourage gender segregation. This is about a "women-friendly" (i.e., women-only) garden in Cairo.  It is funded by USAID.  According to this writer, this is unprecedented in Egypt.
