So the rebel groups in Syria are losing altough they keep making progress and achieving victories

Somebody should study the propaganda techniques of US media coverage of Syrian rebels.  Consistently, the media coverage especially in the leading two US newspapers, stress the progress and achievements of the rebels while consistently belittling advances by the Syrian regime military.  Yet, once in a while, they slip that the rebels are in fact not doing well after all:  "The CIA is “ramping up and expanding its effort,” said a U.S. official familiar with operations in Syria, because “it was clear that the opposition was losing, and not only losing tactically but on a more strategic level.”"
