I highly recommend this article for comic relief. Anne Barnard writes about the theories of Arab "revolutions". Her main theoretician is a Lebanese supporter of the Lebanese Forces who got her training at the Zionist Washington Institute for Near East Policy (so a quite representative Arab, you may say), who is now a bureau chief for the mouthpiece of Prince Khalid Bin Sultan. Of course, the New York Times does not even bother identify the princely-ownership of Saudi newspaper: "the Washington bureau chief of the newspaper Al Hayat, a pan-Arab publication based in London." Pan-Arab, my potato. This is like referring to Der Angriff as "a German nationalist publication". Ha ha ha
