A special mention of cowardice should go to Madbuli Bookshop in Cairo; the publisher destroyed Nawal Saadawi's new book, God Tendered his Resignation from the Summit Meeting, without even waiting for the book burners of AlAzhar or Mubarak to weigh in. The thing about this affair is that for many radical feminists--I include myself here--Saadawi's writings constitute a jumbled mix of colonial feminism, classism, and sexism presented as Third World Feminism.
