Sayyar Al-Jamil: a huge fan of the US occupation of Iraq, published a statement in An-Nahar in which he pledged to not write about Iraq anymore. He titled his statement "The Message Has Arrived." This reminds me of the mysterious end of the writing career of Egyptian secularist Sayyid Qimni.
