I can't feel optimistic about Lebanon's future for many reasons. One of them: the same corrupt, shifty, and unprincipled journalists, politicians, and citizens that I have seen and watched fawningly praise and promote the previous Syrian-Lebanese oppressive security order, are now themselves praising and promoting the new US-Saudi-Hariri order. This is the real Lebanon, where principles and stances are on sale in the vegetables' market.
