Was Rafiq Hariri not a nice person? This is from an editorial by Ad-Diyar's Charles Ayyub (its editor-in-chief): "Ad-Diyar, o dear friend, loves Sa`d Al-Hariri, and his father had made charities to Ad-Diyar, and without the financial support of the martyr prime minister Rafiq Hariri in difficult times, Ad-Diyar would not have continued...." From the issue of August 17th, 2005. (And I should add that Ayyub is one of the most courageous of Lebanese journalists, but still...)
