Some prejudices are more offensive than others. If the remarks by Husni Mubarak were directed against Jews or Buddhists, the US Congress would be in an uproar. But anti-Shi`ite bigotry is permissible. (And notice that he used the same line about Shi`ites that anti-Semites use against Jews).
