The global and scientific influence of the American University of Beirut

"AUB FAFS graduate Dr. Jihad Douglas, joined President Obama on November 26, 2015, at the White House in pardoning the National Thanksgiving Turkey in his capacity as President of the American National Turkey Federation.
Dr. Douglas is the President of Aviagen Turkeys, the largest Turkey breeding company in the World. He received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from AUB in 1982 and 1984, respectively, with a major in poultry nutrition under the supervision of Dean Emeritus Nuhad Daghir. He has an MBA from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska. During the ceremony, President Obama thanked Dr. Douglas for all his contributions to the Turkey industry in the US and abroad. In a message sent to Dean Emeritus Daghir, Dr. Douglas concluded by saying “As always, my appreciation to your input and to AUB’s influence”." How could you not be proud?
