I know that propaganda cliches are dear to correspondents pushing for propaganda but let us talk about the story of Russian non-targeting of ISIS

So where does this story come? That Russia is not targeting ISIS?  This was a lie leaked by US officials in order to discredit Russian war on ISIS.  It is pure and simple.  There is never any evidence. Worse: US propaganda on Russia is now this: 1) they are not hitting ISIS. 2) when they hit ISIS they kill civilians.  This is Liz Sly (I know that this a bad example given the propaganda record of the writer):  "Russian intervention in the region has been driven primarily by President Vladimir Putin’s desire to reassert Russia’s stature as a global power and shore up Assad’s regime, hence the focus on targeting U.S.-backed moderate rebels rather than the Islamic State in the earliest days of its intervention."  If only I know who those moderate rebels are.  Just this week: the US bragged that it hit 120 fuel trucks by ISIS. But in the same week, Russia hit 400 fuel trucks by ISIS. But you would never know that from US media.  I am opposed to both: US and Russian military interventions in Syria but the propaganda in US media is revolting really.

PS Just look at the people interviewed in the piece.
