Lebanese philosophical buffoon, Charles Malik

This is an interview that Charles Malik (a national joke in Lebanon) gave to Jerusalem Post back on Sep. 10, 1982 (a mere four days prior to the assassination of Bashir Gemayyel--hilarious coincidence).  In the interview Malik (who was known in the fifties to yell to the local phone company operator in Kura: GET ME EISENHOWER IN THE WHITE HOUSE RIGHT NOW.  That was supposed to impress his Lebanese visitors) makes many predictions (not one of them materialized) and then says this: "there will be a creative interaction between the Lebanese and the Israelis that will stun the world".  I will tell you what actually did stun the world, Charlie.  The Lebanese resistance movement against the Israeli occupiers. That was quite stunning.
