Ben Hubbard documents Syrian regime crimes in New York Times

These are his sources: " according to local activists and monitoring organizations".  Who are those activists and who are those "monitoring organizations"? And for a while it was cute to attribute Gulf regimes propaganda about Syria to "activists" when there was activism and demonstrations and protests in Syria. But what is an activist in Syria these days? Neither the regime nor the Syrian rebels allows "activism" in their area under their control except activisms on behalf of their own agenda? Also, by monitoring organization you merely mean one pro-Syrian rebel organization based in UK and funded by Western governments. Don't you like transparency in the Western press?
