Political scientists advise the Israeli occupation military on how to best govern the "subject populations"

"We find that the easement of checkpoints makes subject populations less likely to support violence against Israel, or the militant Islamist group, Hamas. This suggests a rethinking of Israeli security policy, as short-term concerns over Palestinian movement may be compromising Israel’s long-term interests."  Can you imagine American political scientists offering recommendation for the best "long-term interests" of Hamas or Hizbullah?  So the authors would like the Israeli occupation to "ease" the checkpoint to facilitate ruling the subject populations.  See why I have been totally alienated from the field of political science since my graduation (if not earlier)?
