I mean, does the propaganda not get crude and vulgar when people writing on Syria in the Western press say the same things over and over again, and not even deviate from the policy line of the US government? Look at this: "He capitalized on strong support from his Syrian base and from Hezbollah, Russia and Iran". How does this really explain the resilience of the regime? Mubarak had the support of the entire Western world and the Arab Gulf order and he fell. This is not lazy journalism only--which it is--but it is also propaganda journalism. This line is a rehash of the line of Ambassador Ford.
