From a correspondent of a major newspaper in the US: "The US bombed the crap out of Vietnam, dropping more tons of
bombs than in World War II and killing as many as 3 million civilians and they
still lost. And we're supposed to believe it was because of a lack of
"political will," as if they weren't trying to win by lacing forests
with Agent Orange?
Even in an historical story like this the US media cannot or
will not apply their generally balanced standards of domestic reporting to an
international story. It's embarrassing how nationalistic foreign reporting is,
and how much closer to propaganda than journalism. "
