lacking the will in Vietnam

From a correspondent of a major newspaper in the US:  "The US bombed the crap out of Vietnam, dropping more tons of bombs than in World War II and killing as many as 3 million civilians and they still lost. And we're supposed to believe it was because of a lack of "political will," as if they weren't trying to win by lacing forests with Agent Orange?

Even in an historical story like this the US media cannot or will not apply their generally balanced standards of domestic reporting to an international story. It's embarrassing how nationalistic foreign reporting is, and how much closer to propaganda than journalism. "
