Egypt versus Algeria
I don't follow sports but I am delighted that Egypt's team lost to Algeria. Egyptian victory would have been far more annoying, especially that the regime would have used it as a weird validation of Jamal Mubarak. In fact, Jamal Mubarak, and his brother `Ala' (worse in corruption than the brother) went to Sudan to attend the match, and presumably to reap the rewards of victory, that never came. Al-Masri Al-Yawm had a nice headline: it said that at least both countries were even in holding the same rank (111) in the Transparency International annual index of corruption. Why not brag about that, o Jamal Mubarak?
