Lebanese Military Experts. So Lebanese TV stations now try to do what CNN lousily does: to bring "former" military officers as experts although they all say the same thing, and they never encounter a adventure or war by their former force that they don't bless. Yesterday, LBC-TV (the station of the right-wing, fascistic, sectarian Christian station) hosted Wahbi Qatisha. He was only identified as a "former general of the Lebanese Army." In reality, this officer was one of those officers who defected from the Lebanese Army and fought with the right-wing militias during the war years. Also, he is now officially a leader of the Lebanese Forces. None of that was mentioned. So he was talking about the "victory" of the Lebanese Army (against a gang of 100). He said that that victory of the Lebanese Army against Fath-Al-Islam is comparable to the victory of the Soviet Army against the Nazis in Stalingrad. I kid you not.
